Starbucks Coffee Secret Menu: Best Secret Coffee Drinks to Try

Starbucks Secret Coffee Menu

I’ve been trying way too many Starbucks drinks lately, and honestly, that’s how I ended up exploring the Starbucks Coffee secret menu.

The funny thing is, there isn’t a hidden menu you can walk in and order from by name. Most secret menu drinks are regular Starbucks beverages with customizations created by customers, baristas, and social media. In July 2025, though, Starbucks began featuring some popular customizations directly in its app.

So now you have two kinds: official app-listed drinks and fan-made recipes you order by telling the barista the ingredients.

I’ve rounded up the coffee-heavy ones I’d put on my list first, along with a few hot coffee options when you want something warm and cozy.

Cold Coffee Picks

If you’re an iced coffee person like me, this is where I’d start. These drinks take familiar Starbucks coffees and add sweet sauces, flavored cold foam, fruit, or seasonal flavors.

1. Just Add White Mocha

This is one of the easiest secret coffee orders because the base is already a Starbucks favorite: the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso.

The White Chocolate Mocha Sauce makes it noticeably sweeter and creamier, while the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam gives the top a rich finish. If you already love brown sugar espresso drinks, this is a very easy upgrade to try. Starbucks included this customization when it launched its official Secret Menu in the app.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Grande Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso with two pumps of White Chocolate Mocha Sauce and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam?”

My tip: If you don’t like very sweet coffee, ask for fewer pumps of white mocha.

2. Horchata Shaken Espresso with Horchata Cold Foam

I’m a big fan of cinnamon-forward iced coffee, so this combination immediately caught my attention. The Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso already has that warm brown-sugar-and-cinnamon character, but horchata cold foam makes it even creamier.

This particular combination was highlighted by What The Froth as a favorite, with the option of using vanilla or horchata cold foam.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Venti Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with Horchata Cold Foam?”

If horchata cold foam isn’t available, you can ask whether the store can add horchata flavor to the cold foam instead. Availability can vary.

3. Caramel Macchiato + Ube

This is one of the more unusual combinations on the list. You start with a familiar Iced Caramel Macchiato, then add ube cream cold foam.

Ube has also appeared in Starbucks’ 2026 secret-menu offerings, although the exact ube customization and availability can vary by promotion and location.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Grande Iced Caramel Macchiato with blonde espresso and ube cream cold foam?”

My tip: Ube can be seasonal or limited, so don’t be surprised if your location doesn’t currently have it.

4. Blackberry Caramel Macchiato

Now we’re getting into the fun combinations.

A Blackberry Caramel Macchiato takes the sweet caramel and vanilla flavors you already know and adds a fruity blackberry element. The tartness of the berries can give the drink a brighter finish instead of making every sip taste purely sweet.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Grande Iced Caramel Macchiato with blackberries blended into the milk, topped with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam and caramel drizzle?”

Blackberry ingredients aren’t guaranteed at every location, so this is one of those orders where you should check what your store currently has available.

5. Strawberry Shortcake Latte

If you’re looking for coffee that leans more toward strawberry and sweet cream, this one is worth knowing.

The combination uses an iced latte with strawberry purée, brown sugar syrup, classic syrup, and sweet cream foam. Some versions also use salted brown butter topping.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Venti Iced Latte blended with strawberry purée, three pumps of brown sugar syrup and one pump of classic syrup, topped with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam blended with strawberry purée?”

My tip: This is a good pick when you want coffee, but you don’t want the coffee flavor to dominate.

Hot Coffee Picks

Sometimes I want all the fun of a secret menu order without the ice. These hot coffee combinations are especially good when you’re craving cinnamon, pumpkin, vanilla, or other cozy flavors.

1. Caramel Pumpkin Macchiato

This is basically fall in a Caramel Macchiato.

Instead of the usual vanilla syrup, you add pumpkin sauce and finish with pumpkin spice topping. It’s seasonal, so this is one to save for pumpkin spice season.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Grande Caramel Macchiato with no vanilla syrup, three pumps of pumpkin sauce and pumpkin spice topping?”

You can also order it iced if that’s more your style.

2. Snickerdoodle Latte

If cinnamon cookies are your weakness, I think you’ll understand the appeal of this one immediately.

The Snickerdoodle Latte combines a Blonde Vanilla Latte with white mocha and cinnamon dolce flavors, then finishes it with whipped cream and cinnamon dolce topping. There are several versions of the recipe online, so the exact customization can vary.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Blonde Vanilla Latte with one to two pumps of white mocha, one pump of cinnamon dolce syrup, whipped cream and cinnamon dolce topping?”

My tip: Start with fewer pumps if you prefer your coffee less sweet.

3. Oatmilk Honey Latte

This one is a little different because it was previously an official Starbucks drink but is now commonly recreated as a secret-menu customization.

The base uses a Honey Almondmilk Flat White, swapped to oat milk, with vanilla syrup added. If you’re avoiding honey, ask for the honey syrup to be left out.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Honey Almondmilk Flat White made with oat milk and one to three pumps of vanilla syrup?”

My tip: If you’re avoiding honey, ask for the honey syrup to be left out.

4. Raspberry Cheesecake Latte

This is the kind of coffee I reach for when I want something much sweeter than my usual latte.

It starts with a regular Caffè Latte and adds caramel, cinnamon dolce and raspberry syrups before finishing with whipped cream. The combination is inspired by the sweet-tart flavor of cheesecake.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Caffè Latte with one to two pumps each of caramel syrup, cinnamon dolce syrup and raspberry syrup, topped with whipped cream?”

My tip: Raspberry can be seasonal or unavailable, so check with your store before ordering.

5. Toasted Pumpkin Marshmallow Latte

If regular pumpkin spice isn’t quite enough for you, this adds a toasted white mocha twist.

The recipe starts with a Pumpkin Spice Latte made with half-and-half, then adds toasted white mocha syrup and cinnamon dolce topping.

Here’s how to order:

“Can I get a Pumpkin Spice Latte made with half-and-half, two to three pumps of toasted white mocha syrup and cinnamon dolce topping?”

This is definitely one I’d keep for cooler weather.

My Starbucks Coffee Secret Menu Picks

After going through all these combinations, these are the five I’d keep coming back to when I want to experiment.

Just Add White Mocha

I’d pick this when I want something creamy, sweet and coffee-forward enough to still feel like an iced espresso drink. The brown sugar, white mocha and cold foam make it a seriously sweet combination.

Here’s how to order:

“Grande Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso with two pumps of White Chocolate Mocha Sauce and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam.”

Horchata Shaken Espresso

This is my choice when cinnamon is the flavor I’m craving. The horchata cold foam gives the brown sugar espresso a creamy, spiced finish without completely hiding the coffee.

Here’s how to order:

“Venti Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with Horchata Cold Foam.”

Caramel Macchiato + Ube

I like this one because it’s familiar underneath but completely different on top. The caramel macchiato gives you the coffee and caramel base, while ube brings a sweet, floral twist.

Here’s how to order:

“Grande Iced Caramel Macchiato with blonde espresso and ube cream cold foam.”

Just remember that ube availability is limited and can vary by location.

Blackberry Caramel Macchiato

This is the one I’d try when regular caramel coffee starts feeling a little predictable.

Here’s how to order:

“Grande Iced Caramel Macchiato with blackberries blended into the milk, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam and caramel drizzle.”

The fruity blackberry element gives the caramel macchiato a completely different direction.

Strawberry Shortcake Latte

If you’re more interested in sweet strawberry flavors than strong coffee, this is an easy one to put on your list.

Here’s how to order:

“Venti Iced Latte blended with strawberry purée, three pumps of brown sugar syrup and one pump of classic syrup, topped with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam blended with strawberry purée.”

Final Thoughts

The fun part of the Starbucks secret Coffee menu is that you don’t really have to stop at these recipes. Start with a drink you already enjoy, then play around with syrups, cold foam, toppings or milk choices.

If I’m craving something sweet and cold, I’d head toward the Just Add White Mocha, Horchata Shaken Espresso or Caramel Shaken Espresso. For something warmer, the Snickerdoodle Latte and seasonal pumpkin combinations are much more my style.

And if you want to try the official side of the secret menu, keep an eye on the Starbucks app because Starbucks has said the featured customizations can change over time.
